I cant say which one is the best movie of her, coz there r lots of movies which touched me like sansar, ghar, khoon bhari mang, basera etc.Even some people says Rekhaji was her best in Umrao Jaan. Obviously the story n character of Rekha in movie is superb, No one will beat her in the dance performance which she present in the movie. Really She played a very beautiful role. Infact She received the National Award for it BUT…………….. My memories of her remain intact from silsila than Umrao Jaan, where she looked inexpressively beautiful than Umrao But in silsila i feel the real pain of herwhen she sings Neela Aasman Soo Gaya.

For me its very difficult to find her best film as i love her so many of her movies..but anyways if i have to choose then i feel her best was Umrao Jaan , followed by Silsila, Khubsoorat.Among her recent movies i liked her in Lajja and Aastha.

I love to see her in Something different kind of Character like “Maya Memsaab”. I think this is the most powerful character which presented in a beautiful way by Deepa Sahi but the Character and Shade much suited on Rekha than Deepa. If she played that kind of role then she looks Marvellous.

Pehle to bahut – bahut badhayi ho tumhe or Rekha G ko for “Padam shri” award, lekin kya tum , Amit ya or Rekha ‘s fan ya khud Rekha G is award se khush hain , pehle mai to khush tha per ye janne ke baad ke award unse pahle amir ro sachin ko bhi mill chukka hai mujhe bahut hairani hui , bhart sarkar ko itni jaldi yaad kyo aya ki rekhag is award ki hakdar hai , mujhe to lagta hai ki ye bas ek khanapurti thi or khuch nahi. Mai isse jyada khuch nahi kaha sakta ki rekha g kae samman ke sath – sath bharat sarkar ne sub rekha’s fans ka bhi dill dukhaya hai or kuch nahi .
I think the Award Padam shri given to living Legend is just a Formality to give honor against her Uncountable Golden age of the film Industry. so jury need to think about that again.
I read all entries of this segment and thinks its vary from person to person . Someone says its an insult or someone says its an Honor. The award given to her is the honor for what she has given back to society through her excellent performances. Now comparing her award with Mr.Amir Khan is unfair as well as unrealistic. Its because people with high self esteem (gud people) don’t waste time in comparing Themselves or their performances with the other performer or think to compete with them Getting jealous, developing negative attitude (people with low self esteem) of harming the Other performer thinking of his or her competitor to win. One can be a winner without a medal but a loser with a medal thru wrong ways is never honored in the society has no peace within. Look all those actors who received the awards with her like Mr.Saif Ali Khan They have always competed against them selves by improving their performances in Different films, they compared their performances against their capabilities, this cums Only thru self improvement by developing positive attitude. Similarly we must not compare their awards as it was on the basis of their work nPerformances they were analyzed n honored as each individual is different from the other in terms of nature .personal life, background, physical attributes ,sex difference in terms of their capabilities & abilities driving force in the area of their interest. (I am not at all saying that woman is weak but our interest decides our potential in Various field.) If Amir is given Rekhaji’s role say in film Muquadder ka sikandar he wont Enjoy & his performance will be poor if rekhaji is given Amirs preplayed role of Laggan She wont enjoy n might not perform well likewise. So we can never say it’s a dishonor For on false comparisons as it makes no sense.

Film mein Unke dwara Nibhaya gaya role jaha ek aur mujhe behad Pasand aaya wahi Dusri aur main unke dono roop ek Sidhi sadhi Aurat aur ek behad Khoobsurat Actress ko dekh paya. So Khoon Bhari Maang is my first memory of Rekhaji but after it I see her so many films like Phool Bane Aangarey, Sansaar, Biwi ho toh Aisi. Iske Alava mujhe wo Din bhi acchi tarah se yaad hai Jab Aapne first time apne Unique Collection ki Exhibition lagai aur jab main waha gaya to unke itne sare Khoobsurat Chere ko Dekhta hi reh gaya. Really I never forget that day.
Film “Sansaar” is my first Memory of Rekha ji which connect me to her. Really I m soo impressed by her Character which she played that How she save her Ghar-Pariwaar by using her Brain. She is the Perfect Combination of Beauty & Brain.

I have seen Rekha’s all most all films but in my memory Umrao jaan was my first Memory. The role of Amiran played by Rekha touched me a lot. Hi, I m Rohit n a very Big fan of Karishma Kapoor from her first film “Prem Qaidi”. I have seen her all films soo many time but when in 2001 her film Zubieda came n this is the first time when Karishma Kapoor share the big screen with the very BIG name of Industry i.e REKHAJI. I hail from Mumbai. Since my chlidhood, my fav actress ws Neetu Singh. I think I was in my 6th grade when Silsila got released. All girls in my class used to dislike Rekha bcoz of her affair with Amit. I got influenced too and used to praise Jaya for her simplicity. Later, I saw the promo pics of Silsila and I was like, Rekha is so beautiful and got very good features. After that I remember, watching Agar Tum Na Hote in Theater. I was like, wow.. she is so beautiful. When I was in my 11th grade, Jaal got released and I became her instant fan. I watched Jaal so many times in Theater, followed by Pyar ki Jeet. Though, Pyar ki Jeet was Tax Free, the movie was a big hit. It was a real experience to watch ‘Pyar Ki Jeet’ in theater with fullpacked Audience. I even told Rekha on Phone, that ‘Pyar ki Jeet’ is my most fav film. She was fully shocked, to hear that. I watched Biwi ho Tho Aisi, Khoon Bhari Maang, Izzazat, Phool Bhare Angarey, Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi many times. I also remember buying all film magazine that had Rekha in cover page. Those were the best days. I simply loved each photographs of Rekha. Every magazine had her pic in their cover page. Right now, I am in Los Angeles and still look for Rekha’s movie to be released in Theaters here. Unfortunately, Sadiyaan didnt get released here. I really felt very sad for that.
Just Fyi. After the success of ‘Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi’, Movie magazine had let the fans talk to Rekha through hotline number. It was in Aug 1996. I got the opportunity to talk to fav actress. I told her that ‘Pyar Ki Jeet’ is my fav movie and she got shocked. Later, she asked me my mother tongue. When I said Telugu, She immediately started talking in Telugu saying that her mom is from Tadepalligudam. I was like, Ma’dam, I am born and bred here in Mumbai and I dont know the language. She told me, I should always know my mother language.
My first Memory about Rekha was the Silsila. basically I watch this film because of Superstar Amitabh bacchan but after seeing the true Great pair of Amit-Rekha on Screen, I love this pair so much and after it I also became a fan of the India’s Queen Rekha.

I am a great fan of both southern beauties Rekha & Sridevi and watch almost all movies of both. I have seen maximum movies of Rekha than Sridevi n most of the time I enjoy her presence on big screen like Sawan Bhadon,Gora aur Kala, Do Anjane, Kasam Suhaag ki, Maang Bharo Sajna, Sajan, Apne -Apne and so many more n many many times. Really I like her beauty & talent and No Doubt she is the finest Actress I have ever seen. First I want to clear that I m not a very BIG fan of Actress Rekha like all the guys here on this site But there is no Doubt that I appreciates her Beauty & Unmatched talent Skills. Actually I am very fond of Comic films like Jane Bhi do Yaaro, Golmaal, Namkeen, Khoobsurat, Joothi, Hera Pheri and Andaz Apna Apna are some my all time favorites numbers of comedy movies . I have my own collection of Comic films of both bollywood as well as of Hollywood. I regular watch these movies whenever I got time. I still remember when I see Rekha’s comic film Khoobsurat.Really I enjoyed it sooo much. I m very surprised to see Rekha’s performance in the very beautiful & fun loving Character of Manju. I think that was the time when Rekha shined in a first all-out comic role, with her brilliant comedy. I don’t know how many times I watch it just because of Rekha. The Comedy done by Rekha & Ashok kumar is called the real Comedy. Rekha’s style of Mimic impressed me a lot and I love her Fun loving personality in it. Before this film I never focused her other films like Mr. Natwarlal, Ghar, Muqqudar ka Sikandar, Khoon Pasina, Imaan Dharam and others.
The reason is very clear I like only Comic films. So dear it’s my Memory that reminds me only Khoobsurat Rekha.I am soo happy when I know that Khoobsurat is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s together with dialogues by Gulzar that makes it comedy classic.

Honestly I am not sure or Exactly what I say about my first memory but I’ll try to explain …I still remember when I was in 1st standard & after my elder sister’s marriage I watched Man Mohan Desai’s fantastic film Suhaag with my Jiju n Didi in a Cinema Hall and the Song “pehle kyon Aankh ladai gori ki neend churai, karke badnaam kisi ko bantaa hai ab harjaai Teri rab ne bana di jodi teri rab ne ” along with amitabh, shashi kapoor & parveen bobby , Really I love this song because of Rekhaji , she looks very sweet like a Pure Punjaban kudi or doll, her face, her lips, her bhangda style everything is lajwaab. One more interesting thing is that my sister’s face was similar to Rekhaji and when I feel it then I told to jiju “jiju didi ki shakal is waali acctess ki kitni milti hai na? & he said yes. So this is my first memory about Rekhaji.And after Suhaag we have seen K.c bokadia’s action movie phool bane angaare with my family, in it Rekha played a very Strong character n this role touch me a lot. She played a very strong character of a Inspector, who getting lot of problems, lot of pain, but unhone haar nahi maani at last wo jeet hi gai. Aur wo jeet sirf unki movie ki nahi mere dil ko jitne ki bhi thi .After seeing this movie I was very emotional especially in the song ’sajna shikar hua jolmo ki aag ka, “sapna adhura hai wo tere suhag ka” phool kabhi jab ban jaye angaara………………….
In my favorite Bollywood list of Heroine REKHA @ Umrao Jaan will be on the Top and as a Number one forever. I like Rekha from the very beginning of her carrier in bollywood but when I saw her live on the set of Film “KHOON PASINA” I can’t explain in words that How she was looking???But as a poet n Lyricist and as a Big fan of Rekha. I will say that she was looking like a “Jannat Ki Pari”. So at last I will say that I can never forget those memorable moments of Khoon Pasina Shooting. Hello I am father of Rinku, who put this beautiful category. I am also a Die hard fan of Great Bollywood Actress Rekha. Anyway I also share my first memory about the Living Legend Rekha. I still remember when I see Rekha first time in her Classic film Umrao Jaan that tells the story of a real life courtesan. Rekha played very beautifully the character of a Muslim girl Amiran and later she famous for Umrao Jaan Ada. The most interesting part of this film was its Melodious Music and the Mujra’s of Classic Queen REKHA. This is only one film which I saw 5 times on cinema only because of Rekha.

But I think it was very difficult for Rekha to play Rekha on big screen first time. If all Rekha scenes cut from the film then there is nothing to see in it. so dear Silsila was my first memory.

I cant say which one is the best movie of her, coz there r lots of movies which touched me like sansar, ghar, khoon bhari mang, basera etc.Even some people says Rekhaji was her best in Umrao Jaan. Obviously the story n character of Rekha in movie is superb, No one will beat her in the dance performance which she present in the movie. Really She played a very beautiful role. Infact She received the National Award for it BUT…………….. My memories of her remain intact from silsila than Umrao Jaan, where she looked inexpressively beautiful than Umrao But in silsila i feel the real pain of herwhen she sings Neela Aasman Soo Gaya.

As a kid, i watched Sadaa Suhaagan and became an instant fan of hers even though i didnt know anything about her. I even liked her in Jeevan Dhara which i think is one of her best movies till date.Others like Silsila, Khoon Bhari Mang and even Maang Bharo Sajna are classics. In fact, i like every film of hers. 5. Labon se Chum lo: - I still remember the day of 6th Jan 1997 when I saw this movie. I was full of emotions after seeing it. I think this is Bestest performance of Rekha’s carrier. She played the very difficult character of “Maansi” very beautifully. In a scene when she confesses her guilt, I can still feel that pain in my heart. The beautiful wordings wrote by Gulzaar Sir (Guru Ji) “Tumhi se Janmu toh Shayad Mujhe Panah Mile.”
4. Katra- Katra Milti Hai: - One of the Ultimate song or you can say a best Composition of Rahul da’s Music & Timeless magic of Asha ji voice. Dear I don’t remember any dialogue of Rekhaji’s film. But I remember some poetic words, which said by Rekha ji in an Award function. “Jo chate ho so kehto ho , chup rehne ki lajjat kya jano, Yeh Raaze Mohabbat hai pyare tum Raaze Mohabbat kya Jano ” Really I love her Andaaz.

Dear Rajesh first of all thanks to you for posting this very interesting topic for fans for Diva Rekha.As Amit said that her dialogues are a lesson to all which gave courage, love and & dedication to her all fans around the world. BUT Personally I feel that she write her own dialogues. One more thing dear for me its quite difficult than interesting because there are lot of dialuges of her which are very close to my Heart. It’s clearly an Insult of her and her all fans.

Hi I am totally agree with mr. Sharma. I dont know what is the criteria of padma Shri? Is Saif can be Compared to Rekhaji? never dear never. We all knows that Rekhaji never speak a single word about it. She never complain to anyone but I thinks so that the Indian Govt should take back padma shri from Rekhaji n give her Padma Bhushan with respect.

Really it’s sad to believe that Aish, Akshay, shahrukh, Aamir, Madhuri got the award much before her. On the other hand its nice to see that at least she’s being honored whereas Dimple, Sridevi, Shashi kapoor are still not given one.
I have Mixed feelings actually. But honestly……when you love Rekha you never love her because she’s being honored or insulted……
You love her for a reason and the reason is love.

Pehle to bahut – bahut badhayi ho tumhe or Rekha G ko for “Padam shri” award, lekin kya tum , Amit ya or Rekha ‘s fan ya khud Rekha G is award se khush hain , pehle mai to khush tha per ye janne ke baad ke award unse pahle amir ro sachin ko bhi mill chukka hai mujhe bahut hairani hui , bhart sarkar ko itni jaldi yaad kyo aya ki rekhag is award ki hakdar hai , mujhe to lagta hai ki ye bas ek khanapurti thi or khuch nahi. Mai isse jyada khuch nahi kaha sakta ki rekha g kae samman ke sath – sath bharat sarkar ne sub rekha’s fans ka bhi dill dukhaya hai or kuch nahi .

Rekha jaisi Ajeem Sakhsiyat Sadiyon mein ek baar Aati hain. Unke jaisi Adakara Hindustan mein hona Hindustan ke liye Faqr ki Baat hai. The award given to her is the honor for what she has given back to society through her excellent performances. Now comparing her award with Mr.Amir Khan is unfair as well as unrealistic. Its because people with high self esteem (gud people) don’t waste time in comparing Themselves or their performances with the other performer or think to compete with them Getting jealous, developing negative attitude (people with low self esteem) of harming the Other performer thinking of his or her competitor to win. One can be a winner without a medal but a loser with a medal thru wrong ways is never honored in the society has no peace within. Look all those actors who received the awards with her like Mr.Saif Ali Khan They have always competed against them selves by improving their performances in Different films, they compared their performances against their capabilities, this cums Only thru self improvement by developing positive attitude. Similarly we must not compare their awards as it was on the basis of their work nPerformances they were analyzed n honored as each individual is different from the other in terms of nature .personal life, background, physical attributes ,sex difference in terms of their capabilities & abilities driving force in the area of their interest. (I am not at all saying that woman is weak but our interest decides our potential in Various field.) If Amir is given Rekhaji’s role say in film Muquadder ka sikandar he wont Enjoy & his performance will be poor if rekhaji is given Amirs preplayed role of Laggan She wont enjoy n might not perform well likewise. So we can never say it’s a dishonor For on false comparisons as it makes no sense.

Mujhe Acchi tarah se yaad hai jab main Class 4th mein tha jab Maine Rekha ji ki film Khoon Bhari Maang dekhi thi. Film mein Unke dwara Nibhaya gaya role jaha ek aur mujhe behad Pasand aaya wahi Dusri aur main unke dono roop ek Sidhi sadhi Aurat aur ek behad Khoobsurat Actress ko dekh paya. So Khoon Bhari Maang is my first memory of Rekhaji but after it I see her so many films like Phool Bane Aangarey, Sansaar, Biwi ho toh Aisi. Iske Alava mujhe wo Din bhi acchi tarah se yaad hai Jab Aapne first time apne Unique Collection ki Exhibition lagai aur jab main waha gaya to unke itne sare Khoobsurat Chere ko Dekhta hi reh gaya. Really I never forget that day.

I have seen Rekha’s all most all films but in my memory Umrao jaan was my first Memory. The role of Amiran played by Rekha touched me a lot. Rekha’s costumes, makeup, specially her dance attract me sooo much. I m soo happy when I her that she won the National award for it. most splecial thing is that my whole family see it at cinema hall as a first day first show in Agra. really I never forget this movie n Rekha’s role.

Hi, I m Rohit n a very Big fan of Karishma Kapoor from her first film “Prem Qaidi”. I have seen her all films soo many time but when in 2001 her film Zubieda came n this is the first time when Karishma Kapoor share the big screen with the very BIG name of Industry i.e REKHAJI. Really believe me I never been a fan of Rekhaji but from this film I become her fan, that was the time when I realize the Real Beauty of Indian Cinema, her Glamour, her Grace, her way to carry herself, her expression all are beyond the words. And truly there is no doubt that Rekhaji is more superior to my Karishana in every aspect. So dear Zubieda was my first memory from which I connect to the Diva Rekha. And after zubieda I watch Rekhaji all films like Dil Hai Tumahra to Sadiyaan. At last I want to say that I am soo thankful to my Karishma who introduce me the Great Rekhaji.

Mujhe achhi tarah yaad hai jab maine 1986 me unki film “INSAAF KI AWAZ” dekhi thi aur jab main sirf 4 saal ka tha mujhe unka kirdar itna pasand aaya ki uske baad maine Rekhaji ki sabhi filme dekhana shuru ki jyadatar maine unki films first day first show dekhi hai Insaf ki Awaaz mein unke diolougs aur acting ,action etc bahut hi Shandar the, maine Amiri Garibi film ko 17 bar dekha hai, Azad desh ke gulam, Kasam Suhag ki, Mera pati sirf mera hai maine kai bar dekhi hain,yane main unki films dekhane ke liye crazy ho jata tha unke photos unke interviews unki movies, cd, songs cd collection karana bhi mujhe bahut achha lagta tha ab to Rekha the Diva ke dvara mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki main kahi Rekhaji se hi Reality me juda hua hun aur yeh mere liye ek web site hi nahi balki amulya khajana hai Iss site se main Rekhaji ke karib hone ka Ehsas Mehsus to karta hi hu lekin mujhe is site ne achhe dost diye hai. I hail from Mumbai. Since my chlidhood, my fav actress ws Neetu Singh. I think I was in my 6th grade when Silsila got released. All girls in my class used to dislike Rekha bcoz of her affair with Amit. I got influenced too and used to praise Jaya for her simplicity. Later, I saw the promo pics of Silsila and I was like, Rekha is so beautiful and got very good features. After that I remember, watching Agar Tum Na Hote in Theater. I was like, wow.. she is so beautiful. When I was in my 11th grade, Jaal got released and I became her instant fan. I watched Jaal so many times in Theater, followed by Pyar ki Jeet. Though, Pyar ki Jeet was Tax Free, the movie was a big hit. It was a real experience to watch ‘Pyar Ki Jeet’ in theater with fullpacked Audience. I even told Rekha on Phone, that ‘Pyar ki Jeet’ is my most fav film. She was fully shocked, to hear that. I watched Biwi ho Tho Aisi, Khoon Bhari Maang, Izzazat, Phool Bhare Angarey, Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi many times. I also remember buying all film magazine that had Rekha in cover page. Those were the best days. I simply loved each photographs of Rekha. Every magazine had her pic in their cover page. Right now, I am in Los Angeles and still look for Rekha’s movie to be released in Theaters here. Unfortunately, Sadiyaan didnt get released here. I really felt very sad for that.

Just Fyi. After the success of ‘Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi’, Movie magazine had let the fans talk to Rekha through hotline number. It was in Aug 1996. I got the opportunity to talk to fav actress. I told her that ‘Pyar Ki Jeet’ is my fav movie and she got shocked. Later, she asked me my mother tongue. When I said Telugu, She immediately started talking in Telugu saying that her mom is from Tadepalligudam. I was like, Ma’dam, I am born and bred here in Mumbai and I dont know the language. She told me, I should always know my mother language.

I am a great fan of both southern beauties Rekha & Sridevi and watch almost all movies of both. I have seen maximum movies of Rekha than Sridevi n most of the time I enjoy her presence on big screen like Sawan Bhadon,Gora aur Kala, Do Anjane, Kasam Suhaag ki, Maang Bharo Sajna, Sajan, Apne -Apne and so many more n many many times. Really I like her beauty & talent and No Doubt she is the finest Actress I have ever seen. I saw her first time in Sawan Bhadon but personally I connect Rekha through her milestone performance in Khoon Bhari Maang I love it.

Yeah I remember, when I have seen her first time in Man Mohan Desai’s Suhaag
And one song of that film “Imtehaan hai aaj imtehaan hai” along with Amitabh,
That was mind blowing moment for me. She has touched my soul, her eyes, expressions, jewellery, her softness and sensuality, her mascara and eye shadow on her eyes. Oh my God I could not stop my self to praise her, love to adore.
This is film in which she proven herself Star of visuals .From this movie she has touched my aesthetics also. My power of writing has got excitement when ever I had seen her film.

I must admit that it’s impossible for me to recollect because Rekha has always been a part of my existence. I can’t dissociate her from me to say….this is the memory. So can’t do that .she is a part of me….only other people can remember but you can’t have memoirs of yourself.

First I want to clear that I m not a very BIG fan of Actress Rekha like all the guys here on this site But there is no Doubt that I appreciates her Beauty & Unmatched talent Skills. Actually I am very fond of Comic films like Jane Bhi do Yaaro, Golmaal, Namkeen, Khoobsurat, Joothi, Hera Pheri and Andaz Apna Apna are some my all time favorites numbers of comedy movies . I have my own collection of Comic films of both bollywood as well as of Hollywood. I regular watch these movies whenever I got time. I still remember when I see Rekha’s comic film Khoobsurat.Really I enjoyed it sooo much. I m very surprised to see Rekha’s performance in the very beautiful & fun loving Character of Manju. I think that was the time when Rekha shined in a first all-out comic role, with her brilliant comedy. I don’t know how many times I watch it just because of Rekha. The Comedy done by Rekha & Ashok kumar is called the real Comedy. Rekha’s style of Mimic impressed me a lot and I love her Fun loving personality in it. Before this film I never focused her other films like Mr. Natwarlal, Ghar, Muqqudar ka Sikandar, Khoon Pasina, Imaan Dharam and others.
The reason is very clear I like only Comic films. So dear it’s my Memory that reminds me only Khoobsurat Rekha.I am soo happy when I know that Khoobsurat is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s together with dialogues by Gulzar that makes it comedy classic.

Rishta toh tha bas Pehchaan baki thi… and I still remember that day when I saw her first time I don’t know her that who is she? “Bas woh Jo ladki thi, Khoobsurat Aankhowali, Khule Baalo ke saath Bahut Pyari, Bahut khubsurat aur Apni si lagi. Ghar was the first film from which I saw her and connects to her first time. Except it I still remember…….. That interview which I read when I was a Kid where late Smita patil ask to Rekha” Tum itna sab kaise bardast kar leti ho? Tumahari jagah agar main hoti toh mar hi jati” then Rekha said “”Bhagwan gum aur dukh usi ko dete hain jisme sehne ki shakti ho. after read this beautiful thought I connect to the Beautiful Human Rekha.

Silsila is my all time time favorite film just because of Rekha. In this film I love her charm, her Grace, her Florious skin, her lips, her voice, her undefined Beauty. Really I never forget….

This is very interesting and very unique love story of my cousin brother who is also a dying hard fan of Rekhaji. In 1988 we attend a family function and in that function he lost his heart over a very beautiful girl and her Brilliant Dance performance on a Hit number of Rekha “Main hun Dulhan Ek Raat ki Tu hai Dulha ek raat ka” that time I was not aware about the song and the Actress on whom that song was picturised. After
Some days I specially watch that song and tried to dance like her. After seeing that beautiful song of film Jaal I knew the Unmatched Dance talent of Rekha. So dear that was my first memory of Rekha. The most important & Interesting thing is that “Aaj wo ladki meri Bhabhi hain aur Bhaiya unhe Rekha kehkar bulaata hai”

I am so Sooooooooooooooooooooooooorry for giving me my feedback very late.
Honestly I am not sure or Exactly what I say about my first memory but I’ll try to explain …I still remember when I was in 1st standard & after my elder sister’s marriage I watched Man Mohan Desai’s fantastic film Suhaag with my Jiju n Didi in a Cinema Hall and the Song “pehle kyon Aankh ladai gori ki neend churai, karke badnaam kisi ko bantaa hai ab harjaai Teri rab ne bana di jodi teri rab ne ” along with amitabh, shashi kapoor & parveen bobby , Really I love this song because of Rekhaji , she looks very sweet like a Pure Punjaban kudi or doll, her face, her lips, her bhangda style everything is lajwaab. One more interesting thing is that my sister’s face was similar to Rekhaji and when I feel it then I told to jiju “jiju didi ki shakal is waali acctess ki kitni milti hai na? & he said yes. So this is my first memory about Rekhaji.And after Suhaag we have seen K.c bokadia’s action movie phool bane angaare with my family, in it Rekha played a very Strong character n this role touch me a lot. She played a very strong character of a Inspector, who getting lot of problems, lot of pain, but unhone haar nahi maani at last wo jeet hi gai. Aur wo jeet sirf unki movie ki nahi mere dil ko jitne ki bhi thi .After seeing this movie I was very emotional especially in the song ’sajna shikar hua jolmo ki aag ka, “sapna adhura hai wo tere suhag ka” phool kabhi jab ban jaye angaara………………….

In my favorite Bollywood list of Heroine REKHA @ Umrao Jaan will be on the Top and as a Number one forever. I like Rekha from the very beginning of her carrier in bollywood but when I saw her live on the set of Film “KHOON PASINA” I can’t explain in words that How she was looking???But as a poet n Lyricist and as a Big fan of Rekha. I will say that she was looking like a “Jannat Ki Pari”. So at last I will say that I can never forget those memorable moments of Khoon Pasina Shooting. Sabse Intersting baat yeh rahi ki Unko Dekhte dekhte Subah ke 10 baje se Shaam ke 6 kab baj gaye pata hi nahi chala , yeh Unki Khoobsurat Aankho ka ka kamaal tha ki main time dekhna hi bhool gaya.

Hello I am father of Rinku, who put this beautiful category. I am also a Die hard fan of Great Bollywood Actress Rekha. Anyway I also share my first memory about the Living Legend Rekha. I still remember when I see Rekha first time in her Classic film Umrao Jaan that tells the story of a real life courtesan. Rekha played very beautifully the character of a Muslim girl Amiran and later she famous for Umrao Jaan Ada. The most interesting part of this film was its Melodious Music and the Mujra’s of Classic Queen REKHA. This is only one film which I saw 5 times on cinema only because of Rekha.

She has been always there in unconscious part of myself. So it can’t be count as my first memory .I have seen her many times in my childhood days.
But I connect her first time when we organized our 20 years old and precious collection in form of an Exclusive exhibition in 2006. Yes that was the time when I feel her very Close to my heart. “Uss Yaadgaar Exhibition ke Doraan unki har Tasveer Mujhme Utarti chali gayi…………
It’s my lifetime memory about her but personally I connect her when I was enjoying her performance in the song “Wafa Jo na ki Toh Jafa (from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar) with my friend. I feel very uncomfortable to see the song because of the reason she wrapped the Saree very Beautifully but her shoulder part was uncovered Aur Mujhe lagta Raha ki Main Jakar Unka wo Hissa Dakh du Taki use koi bhi dekh Na Sake. Because I really respect her a lot like my family member. Aur Aaj yeh Rishta mere Dil ke Behad Kareeb aur Meri Pehchaan ban chuka hai.

I have seen first time Rekha’s film Silsila.It was a great effort of the director & very well played by Rekhaji.”Yes a smooth sea never made a skillful mariner. But I think it was very difficult for Rekha to play Rekha on big screen first time. If all Rekha scenes cut from the film then there is nothing to see in it. so dear Silsila was my first memory.
